" In some other countries, people don't think men with foot fetishes are so strange. Women in countries like India, Asia, The Islands, and Latin America, are known for being more comfortable going barefoot or taking their shoes, and socks off in public. In the United States, this is not the norm except for immigrants from other countries, that bring their values to the United States, or parents that believe in raising their daughters this way. My family is from Mexico. The women of our family always felt more comfortable in open toe sandals or being barefoot at home. I never remember seeing my mama wear tennis shoes. She always wore slippers, or sandals. We was taught at an early age to take care of our feet. I even remember my mama polishing me, and my sister toe nails at a very early age. Now in some homes in America, it is unusual for girls to be comfortable being barefoot.

 
Like for example, in photos women take that are from other countries. They are mostly barefoot in their photos, but in photos of women in America they usually always have shoes on. Joss Stone is a singer from the United Kingdom who enjoy singing barefoot, and enjoy being barefoot. Some people in America may think this is strange. That's why Angel is more understood in other cultures, and countries. His Indian Spanish heritage, made him more exposed to women with pretty feet. In those two cultures women normally always take care of their feet, and their feet are always usually exposed. That is probably one of the reason he like women with pretty feet so much. By Angel growing up in a house full of women. I'm pretty sure he was giving foot massages on a daily basics. In most other countries, women are not raised to think feet are gross, or nasty.( At least not women feet ) Matter Fact, most women love the idea of a man being attracted to their feet.

 
I had a guy friend of mine with a foot fetish. Who did several studies on different nationalities of women that was more acceptable to men with foot fetishes, and many other foot studies also. Based on this research. This was the results.

Asians believe it is good health practice to be barefoot. The Chinese have been practicing foot reflexology for over 5,000 years. Being barefoot allows your pressure points to be stimulated. When confined in shoes all day, your feet do not have the chance to breathe, stretch and feel. If you do not practice removing your shoes in your home, please give it a try and see how you feel. You may like it!

 

Today, western furniture has taken over the average Asian home, but they still like to sit on the floor and walk barefoot. Just remember when visiting an Asian home, wear clean socks with no holes because you may be asked to remove your shoes!

 
Those who do not know much about the Indian culture and tradition get very baffled when they see children in India touching the feet of their elders. This is, in fact, the commonest Indian gesture and touching some one's feet means the person who is doing the act is showing his respect and subservience to the one whose feet he/she is touching. However, one important aspect related to this gesture is that the person's whose feet is being touched is always superior in age and position.

 
Touching elders' feet is the first lesson in manners and etiquette that all Indian children are taught. So, generally, one is supposed to touch the feet of a person if he/she happens to be an elder member of the family or a respected spiritual person. Since Indians normally live in joint families, this gesture is performed by the sons and daughter-in-laws for their parents and grand parents. Though very young children are guided by their parents to learn this gesture, the comparatively elder ones are expected to do it spontaneously.

 

In Indian culture, there are specific occasions when a person is expected to touch his / her elders' feet. These occasions include before one is departing for or arriving back from a journey, weddings, religious and festive occasions, etc. In earlier times, it was a like a custom in India for youngsters to touch their parents' feet first thing in the morning and before going to bed. Though there are many who still follow this rule, the truth is that the tradition is now slowly waning away with time.

 
When an elder person's feet are being touched, he /she, in turn, is supposed to touch the head of the person doing the act and bless him /her for long life, fortune and prosperity. Interestingly, the act of touching feet gets somewhat intensified during certain occasions. For instance, many people prefer prostrating before the deities in temples or before persons of high rank spiritually and even politically. Touching the feet is an integral part of the Indian culture and tradition and not adhering to it by natives is considered as disrespectful.

   
Indian men, Asian men, Arabic men, Island men, and a few others, are most likely to have a foot fetish, because the women in these countries always have their feet exposed. This is the norm. Even if they don't have no other part of their bodies exposed. In most of these countries, it is in their traditions for women not to wear shoes. Foot Emancipation Society

Foot Emancipation Society (Chinese: 不缠足会), or Anti-footbinding Society (Chinese: 戒缠足会),
was a civil organization which opposed foot-binding in the late Qing Dynasty. It was impacted by Hundred Days Reform (戊戌变法) of 1898, and this organization advanced the Feminist movement in China.

Foot binding was a custom practiced on young girls and women for approximately one thousand years in China, beginning in the 10th century. In Chinese society, bound feet were considered beautiful and erotic.
The practice also limited women's mobility and was sometimes seen as a mark of status (the woman did not have to work) or a mark of male ownership (the woman's mobility was limited and she was intensely dependent on the males in her household).

After the Opium Wars, China signed the "Treaty of Nanking" with Britain, which forced the Qing government to open the five ports.
More Christians came to China and began to oppose foot binding, because they thought it was discriminatory against females. In 1875, a Guangzhao pastor organized a "anti-foot-binding organization", and more than 80 people attended, despite the fact that these kinds of activities had very limited influence.

Hundred Days Reform of 1898 stimulated many social reform activities. The widest-ranging movement was the "anti-footbinding movement," which generated the founding of "Foot Emancipation Society".

In 1887, Kang Youwei (康有为) and Qu Eliang established the "Foot Emancipation Society" in Nanhai, Guangdong; however, it was abandoned due to of public opposition. In 1885, Kang Youwei and his brother Kang Guangrou (康广仁) established "Canton Foot Emancipation Society".
He asked his daughters Kang Tongwei, Kang Tongbi to release their feet as examples.
This movement began to impact the culture in Guangdong. In late 1896, Wu Xinggang (吴性刚) founded the "Anti-Footbinding Society" in Hunan Province.

After 1897, the anti-footbinding movement developed rapidly.
In Shunde, Guangdong, more than hundred people attended the anti-footbinding movement.
Liang Qichao (梁启超) wrote an article called "Report of Anti-footbinding" (《戒缠足会叙》). On June 30, the Shanghai Foot Emancipation Society was established. It impacted the related organizations in Fuzhou, Tianjing, and Macau.[4] In 1897, Chen Baoyi (陈保彝) announced the establishment of the Foot Emancipation Society in Changsha. The next year, Tan Sitong (谭嗣同) and Tang Caichang (唐才常) began the Hunan Foot Emancipation Society.

These activities may have been restricted by the districts during this period. The movement was also limited to the more knowledgeable citizens. After the failure of Wuxu Reform, the anti-foot binding movement ended and foot binding continued to be widely practiced.

During the Gengzi Reform (清末新政, 庚子新政), anti-footbinding activities resumed.
In 1902, Empress Dowager Cixi announced a ban on foot-binding to appease foreigners, but it was rescinded a short time later. In 1905, Natural Feet Society (天足会) was established and largely impacted this movement. This movement gained the support of governors. Sichuan Governor Cen Chunxuan (岑春煊) printed 50,000 books in support of the movement; Zhili Governor Cen Chunxuan (袁世凯), Huguang Governor Duan Fang (端方) also wrote anti-footbinding articles. In 1904, foot binding was outlawed in many provinces, and some governmental officers asked their wives or daughters to release their bound feet.[4]

In 1912, after the fall of the Qing Dynasty, the new Republic of China government banned foot binding.
Women were told to unwrap their feet lest they be killed.
Societies were founded to support the abolition of foot-binding, with contractual agreements made between families who would promise an infant son in marriage to an infant daughter who did not have bound feet. When the Communists took power in 1949, they were able to enforce a strict prohibition on foot-binding, including in isolated areas deep in the countryside where the Nationalist prohibition had been ignored. The prohibition on foot-binding remains in effect today.



Lisa See's 2005 novel  ''Snow Flower and the Secret Fan''  is about two Chinese girls who are destined to be friends.
This movie is based upon the sacrifices women make to be married,
it also includes the two girls being forced into getting their feet bound. The book was adapted into a 2011 film directed by Wayne Wang.

''Στράφηκε ανάσκελα κι έσφιξε τα δάχτυλά της.
- Αν με λάτρευε κάποιος, μου φαίνεται πως θα χαιρόμουνα πολύ να τον κάνω να υποφέρει ώσπου να πεθάνει.
Εκείνοι που έρχονται σ' εμένα δεν είναι άξιοι για να κλάψουν. Κι έπειτα, το λάθος είναι δικό μου: Εγώ τους καλώ να 'ρθουν, πως θα μ' αγαπούσαν λοιπόν;
- Ποιο βραχιόλι σήμερα;

Ήτανε μια απόλαυση γι' αυτήν να κοιτάζεται μέσα από το νερό. Της φαινότανε πως έμοιζε μ' ένα μεγάλο φιλντισένιο κοχύλι, ανοιχτό πάνω σ' ένα βράχο. Η επιδερμίδα της γινότανε λεία και τέλεια. Οι γραμμές των ποδιών της μάκραιναν μέσα σ' ένα γαλάζιο φως. Η μέση της ήτανε πιο λυγερή. Δεν αναγνώριζε πια τα χέρια της. Η άνεση του κορμιού της ήτανε τόση, ώστε ανασηκωνότανε πάνω στα δυο της δάχτυλα, αφηνότανε για λίγο να κυματίζει και ξανάπεφτε μαλακά πάνω στο μάρμαρο, κάτω από το νερό που έφτανε ως το πηγούνι της. Το νερό έμπαινε μέσα στ' αυτιά της, γαργαλώντας την σαν φιλί.
Η ώρα του λουτρού ήταν εκείνη που η Χρύσις είχε αρχίσει να την λατρεύει. Όλα τα τμήματα του κορμιού της γίνονται, το ένα έπειτα από τ' άλλο, αντικείμενο τρυφερού θαυμασμού και κίνητρο χαδιού. Με τα μαλλιά της και τα στήθη της έκανε χίλια - δυο παιχνίδια.

Το δειλινό προχωρούσε: Ανασηκώθηκε μέσα στην πισίνα, βγήκε από το νερό και βάδισε προς την πόρτα. Τα ίχνη των ποδιών της έλαμπαν πάνω στην πέτρα. Τρεκλίζοντας και σαν εξαντλημένη, άνοιξε διάπλατα και στάθηκε, με το μπράτσο στηριγμένο στο χερούλι, έπειτα μπήκε μέσα και, κοντά στο κρεβάτι, όρθια και βρεγμένη, είπε στη σκλάβα:
- Σκούπισέ με.''

''Απλώθηκε σιωπή. Η σκλάβα σήκωσε τα χέρια της κι έσκυψε.
Η εταίρα εξακολούθησε:

Είναι σαν άνθος πορφύρας,
γεμάτο μέλι κι αρώματα.
Είναι σαν μια θαλασσινή ύδρα
ζωντανή και μαλακιά,
ανοιγμένη τη νύχτα.
Είναι η νοτισμένη σπηλιά, η πάντα ζεστή φωλιά,
το Άσυλο, όπου ο άντρας ξεκουράζεται,
καθώς βαδίζει προς το θάνατο.

Η σκλάβα, που είχε πέσει μπρούμυτα, μουρμούρισε:
- Είναι τρομαχτικό. Είναι η μορφή της Μέδουσας.

Η Χρύσις έβαλε το πόδι της πάνω στον τράχηλο της σκλάβας κι είπε τρέμοντας:
- Τζάλα...

Σιγά - σιγά, ήρθε η νύχτα. Αλλά το φεγγάρι ήτανε τόσο φωτεινό, ώστε το δωμάτιο γέμιζε από γαλάζια λάμψη.
Η Χρύσις, γυμνή, κοιτούσε το κορμί της, όπου οι ανταύγειες ήσαν ακίνητες κι όπου οι σκιές έπεφταν πολύ μαύρες.
Σηκώθηκε απότομα:
- Τζάλα πάψε! Νύχτωσε και δεν βγήκα ακόμα. Δεν θα υπάρχουν πια στο Εφταστάδιο, παρά ναύτες κοιμισμένοι. Πες μου, Τζάλα, είμαι όμορφη; Πες μου, Τζάλα, είμαι πιο όμορφη από άλλοτε, απόψε; Είμαι η πιο όμορφη γυναίκα της Αλεξάνδρειας, το ξέρεις; Δεν είναι αλήθεια πως θα μ' ακολουθήσει σαν σκυλί σε λίγο, εκείνος που θα κοιτάξω; Δεν είναι αλήθεια πως θα τον κάνω ό,τι θέλω, σκλάβο μου αν θελήσω, κι ότι μπορώ να περιμένω απ' οποιονδήποτε την πιο δουλική υπακοή; Ντύσε με Τζάλα.
Γύρω από τα μπράτσα της τυλίχτηκαν δυο ασημένια φίδια. Στα πόδια της έβαλε πέδιλα που δένονταν στις μελαχρινές γάμπες της με λωρίδες δερμάτινες, σταυρωτές. Θηλύκωσε μόνη της κάτω από τη ζεστή κοιλιά της μια παρθενική ζώνη. Στ' αυτιά της πέρασε μεγάλους χαλκάδες, στα δάχτυλά της δαχτυλίδια και σφραγιδόλιθους, στο λαιμό της τρία περιδέραια από χρυσούς φαλλούς, σκαλισμένα στην Πάφο από ιερόδουλες.
Κοιτάχτηκε λίγην ώρα, έτσι γυμνή, με τα κοσμήματά της. Έπειτα έβγαλε από το κιβώτιο, όπου το είχε διπλωμένο, ένα πλατύ, διάφανο ύφασμα από κίτρινο λινό και το τύλιξε γύρω της. Διαγώνιες πτυχές υπογράμμιζαν όσα φαίνονταν από το κορμί της, μέσα από το ελαφρύ ύφασμα. Ένας αγκώνας της έβγαινε κάτω από το σφιγμένο χιτώνα και τ' άλλο της μπράτσο, που το είχε αφήσει γυμνό, κρατούσε σηκωμένη τη μακριά ουρά, για να μη σέρνεται μέσα στη σκόνη.
Πήρε τη βεντάλια της, που ήταν από φτερά, και βγήκε με νωχέλεια.
Όρθια στο κατώφλι της σκάλας, με το χέρι ακουμπισμένο στον άσπρο τοίχο, η Τζάλα, μόνη, άφησε την εταίρα ν' απομακρυνθεί.
Βάδιζε αργά, σύριζα στα σπίτια, στον έρημο δρόμο, όπου έπεφτε το φως του φεγγαριού. Μια μικρή σκιά σπαρτάριζε πίσω από τα βήματά της.''


Απόσπασμα 3.

Η μικρή Κλεοπάτρα προσπαθούσε να φανεί όσο μπορούσε πιο ψηλή κι έπαιρνε το κεφάλι της μέσα στα χέρια, σαν βασίλισσα της Ασίας που δοκιμάζει μια τιάρα.
Η μεγάλη της αδερφή, που την άκουγε καθισμένη στο κρεβάτι με τα πόδια της συμαζεμένα, γονάτισε για να πάει κοντά της κι έβαλε τα δυο της χέρια πάνω στους ώμους της.
- Έχεις εραστή, Κλεοπάτρα;
Μιλούσε τώρα ντροπαλά, σχεδόν με σεβασμό.
Η μικρή απάντησε απότομα:
- Αν δεν πιστεύεις, κοίταξε.
Η Βερενίκη αναστέναξε:
- Και πότε τον βλέπεις;
- Τρεις φορές την ημέρα.
- Που;
- Θέλεις να σου το πω;
- Ναι.
Η Κλεοπάτρα την ρώτησε με τη σειρά της:
- Πως δεν ήξερες;
- Αγνοώ τα πάντα, ακόμα κι ό,τι γίνεται μέσα στο Παλάτι. Ο Δημήτριος είναι το μόνο θέμα που μ' ενδιαφέρει. Δεν σε επέβλεψα, είναι σφάλμα μου, παιδί μου.
- Επέβλεπέ με, αν θέλεις. Την ημέρα που δεν θα μπορώ πια να κάνω ό,τι θέλω, θα σκοτωθώ. Το ίδιο μου κάνει λοιπόν.
Η Βερενίκη απάντησε κουνώντας το κεφάλι:
- Είσαι ελεύθερη... Άλλωστε, θα ήτανε πολύ αργά για να μην είσαι πια... Μα... Πες μου χρυσή μου... Έχεις έναν εραστή... Και τον φυλάς;
- Έχω τον τρόπο μου να τον φυλάω.
- Ποιος σου τον έμαθε;
- Εγώ, μόνη μου. Αυτό το ξέρουμε από ένστικτο ή δεν το ξέρουμε ποτέ. Στα έξι μου χρόνια ήξερα πως θα φύλαγα αργότερα τον εραστή μου.
- Και δεν θέλεις να μου πεις;
- Ακολούθησέ με.
Η Βερενίκη σηκώθηκε αργά, έβαλε ένα χιτώνα, αέρισε τα βαριά της μαλλιά που κολλούσαν από τον ιδρώτα του κρεβατιού και βγήκανε κι οι δυο μαζί από το δωμάτιο.
Στην αρχή, η μικρή διέσχισε τον αντιθάλαμο και πήγε στο κρεβάτι, απ' όπου είχε σηκωθεί. Εκεί, κάτω από το στρώμα που ήταν από βύσσο, πήρε ένα κλειδί καινούργιο.
Έπειτα στράφηκε:
- Ακολούθησέ με. Είναι μακριά, είπε.
Στη μέση του αντιθάλαμου ανέβηκε μια σκάλα, ακολούθησε ένα μακρύ περιστύλιο, άνοιξε πόρτες, βάδισε πάνω στα χαλιά, στα πλακόστρωτα, στο χλωμό μάρμαρο και σε είκοσι μωσαϊκά σε είκοσι αίθουσες άδειες και σιωπηλές.
Ξανακατέβηκε μια σκάλα πέτρινη, πέρασε κατώφλια σκοτεινά, πόρτες που έτριζαν. Εδώ κι εκεί υπήρχαν πάνω σε ψάθες φρουροί κοιμισμένοι, με τις λόγχες τους στο χέρι. Πολλήν ώρα έπειτα, διέσχισε μια αυλή που τη φώτιζε τ' ολόγιομο φεγγάρι κι ο ίσκιος μιας φοινικιάς της χάιδεψε το μηρό.
Η Βερενίκη ακολουθούσε πάντοτε, τυλιγμένη στο γαλάζιο μανδύα της.
Τέλος, έφτασαν σε μια πόρτα χοντρή, ενισχυμένη με σίδερο, σαν κορμός πολεμιστή. Η Κλεοπάτρα γλίστρησε το κλειδί στην κλειδαριά, το γύρισε δυο φορές, έσπρωξε την πόρτα: Ένας άντρας, ένας γίγαντας μέσα στο σκοτάδι, σηκώθηκε στο βάθος της φυλακής του.
Η Βερενίκη κοίταξε συγκινημένη και, σκύβοντας, είπε σιγά:
- Εσύ είσαι, παιδί μου, που δεν ξέρεις ν' αγαπάς... Τουλάχιστον ακόμα... Είχα πολύ δίκιο που σου το είπα.
- Έρωτας με έρωτα, εγώ προτιμώ το δικό μου, είπε η μικρή. Αυτός εδώ τουλάχιστον δεν δίνει παρά την απόλαυση.
Έπειτα ολόρθη στο κατώφλι και χωρίς να προχωρήσει ούτε ένα βήμα, είπε στον άντρα, που στεκόταν όρθιος μέσα στο σκοτάδι:
- Έλα να φιλήσεις τα πόδια μου, γιέ σκύλου.
Κι όταν εκείνος το 'καμε, του φίλησε τα χείλη.''
